An immigrant is someone that came to another country legally. Some reasons why an immigrant would want to leave their home country are, because they are looking for work. Also they could be looking for religious freedom or political freedom. Another reason could be that they are looking for a better life.
The United States has better job opportunities compared to other countries. Also the quality of most jobs is better. There is also a bigger variety of jobs. Also in our county you have the freedom to express your own religion and you have the freedom of speech. Our county is based on democracy.
Because of immigration we have diversity in our food and languages. Also we have laws about racism, if there was no immigration then we wouldn’t have racism because there would be one race. We also have different cultures because of immigration. My life has changed because now I have to learn Spanish or any other language in school. Also I get to learn about other cultures. I also have friends that are different races.
